Cobb Professional Firefighters - Always on the Front Line

Cobb Professional Firefighters, Local 2563 is affiliated with the International Association of Firefighters.  The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) represents over 280,000 firefighters across the United States and Canada.  These firefighters protect over 80% of the population of the United States.

The IAFF is the leader for progressive firefighter legislation in Congress which includes Collective Barganing, FIRE and SAFER Acts and PSOB (Public Safety Officer Benefit - line of duty deaths).  The IAFF is also the leader in firefighter safety.  The IAFF led the way to the creation of the PASS device and currently working to create advanced turnout gear.  The IAFF also works with the federal government to train firefighters in WMD and Hazardous Material awareness and operation levels.

Exclusively for IAFF Members

Never before has there been a place specifically designed for IAFF members to face their behavioral health issues head on and get back to the job they love and rebuild the life they deserve.

IAFF members are twice as likely as the general population to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and co-occurring addictions. That’s why a treatment center specifically for the fire service is more important now than ever before.

The IAFF Center of Excellence provides evidence-based care for addiction and co-occurring disorders, including PTSD, anxiety and depression.

Through an essential partnership between the IAFF and Advanced Recovery Systems, a nationwide leader in rehabilitation and behavioral health, the IAFF Center of Excellence is a flagship recovery center where IAFF members can face their struggles directly.
